Facts about supporters on either side of the Ugandan political divide

About NRM supporters;

1. Some pipo genuinely believe and support NRM bcoz in their edstimation that's the best uganda can get.

2. Some pipo were indoctrinated so they can't reason beyond nose  so their own case has over the period graduated to "stockholm syndrome" situation. These ones need sympathy

3. Some are simply dishonest and clearly selfish. They play blind but also agressive depending on the situation bcoz for them their support is a job that puts bread on the table.

About opposition supporters;

1.  Some pipo are genuine bcoz they think Uganda is on wrong trajectory and want better

2.  Some others are angry,  rightly or wrongly bcoz somehow they think the system has failed them.

3. Some are a selfish lot who are pushing to get positions to enrich themselves

4. There is also a category  who are simply blown by the wind.

Where do you belong?

As for me i stand with Uganda; i want fairness in our politics and peaceful change of power and i invite you to join me.

Whatever the case at the tail end of it all time will sort all of us out and we shall be standing together facing reality of the time.

The reality of upcoming 2021 Elections in Uganda

For those who think the upcoming elections is everything. I hate to dissapoint you but these elections are not anything beyond being the legal/constitutional means of contest for power where the outcome is not guaranteed to be neither free nor fair

In practice elections only help to bring all sides together to create a semblance of the citizen  participation and exercising democratic right to choice of leaders.  They therefore help to organise tensions sorrounding the different political convictions into structured form such that these tensions are easy to deal with through established legal mechanism where anything outside the outcome of the process can be talked about after the population has hit the ceiling of excitement or genuine agitation.

At that moment the masses will be feeling they have been given an opportunity to participate in making decision. In actual fact, in some cases their choice will be respected but in other cases their choice will have been taken away through manipulation and cheating,  yet whatever the outcome it can legally be attributed to them.

Unfortunately this is the sad reality of electoral politics in uganda and many other African countries
